Nothing too exciting...

Just another regular day today. Not too exciting, which in our world right now, is a good sign. Bill should be getting his brain scan sometime this week, but we haven't received the referral yet to make the appointment.

We are going away this weekend, but not to worry, I'll take the computer! We are going down to Leucadia (Carlsbad) from Friday to Sunday. We are so excited to stay in Rose and Norm's (friends of Joe and Ann) beautiful condo on the beach. I go back to work on Monday, so it is the last hoorah of my summer. Ann and Sharon will probably go with us (Joe will be on a train to Chicago, yes, train). I told Bill that I wasn't going if his mom wasn't going. He agreed, so we were prepared to kidnap her if need be. Thankfully, she agreed to come willingly.

I am so grateful to have not only married such an amazing man, but one with an incredible family. The word lucky doesn't even begin to describe how I feel to have such wonderful in-laws. They are a huge support in every way possible... we could not do this without them. Now I have myself crying and it's not even 9am.

I am so impressed that my grandparents could post from heaven. ;) I always knew that if my Grandma had lived to get on a computer she'd love all of blogging, e-mailing, and searching on the Internet. I am also pleased to see she even used Internet slang in her last post. St. Peter must have given a class... she always was an amazing woman!!

Hi Jackie,
I was so moved by your words of Billy's family. I couldnt agree with you more. They are some pretty terrific people! Mike always considered them as his 2nd parents. It's truly a blessing to have such wonderful in-laws.
Your trip down to the beach sounds perfect. You'll all have a great time. You enjoy your last hoorah before your knee deep in crayons and #2 pencils!!
Love,
Kelly

Isn't it amazing how such great feelings and emotions towards others can come from such difficult situations in life.

God's children making lemonade from lemons.

HE must be proud!

Jak and Bill,
Yeah, St Peter is a cool dude! He's got a little cabin just down the road from me and my main man, Claude.

St Peter is not only giving me classes on using the internet(s) but he said he will even teach me to how to Twitter!!

Then I can hook up with my other main man, in real time (well almost), Cosmos.

Claude and I swear we saw Cosmos (Pat and Sue's son) fly by our place the other day in his personal Boeing 747.

:-)

Hey Bill, glad to hear you guys will be able to get away to the beach this weekend and just enjoy!

You certainly deserve it!!

:-)

Maybe I can get Cosmos to cruise by your beach house over the weekend. If you see any planes as the sun is going down, that WILL be Cosmos!!

You might want to take cover. :-)

Love,
Toots

Hey there, my family! I'm so proud of both of you. These are tough times but ya know, the Lord doesn't give us more than we can handle. There are many times I doubted and hated that comment but it's true. Just keep busy and hold on to "positive."
Jac, you said it so eloguently. We are all blessed to be a part of that Bartak-clan.
Have a great time at the beach. I'm so jealous!
I love you all. Feel the hugs?

Dear Bill,
I am so sorry to hear about....you having to eat at Soup Plantation! I immediately went to my kitchen and made 6 quarts of chicken stock that will be in the freezer for you when you get back from your beach vacation. When I get anxious about things, like this other stuff that you are dealing with, I go bake something. There is a loaf of banana nut bread in the freezer for you too. Then there is the 10 pounds of sugar and 3 pounds of butter to make Cowboy cookies, Mexican wedding cakes and Susan's Special cookies. They will be in the freezer for you too. You know they don't have a chef at Soup Plantation!

Jackie, you are right about Toots liking the Internet. She'd be up at 2:00 am blogging with toots/clod renspak and drinking cold coffee with cream floating in the top. Clod would probably be in the other room yelling "turn off the darn computer".

I was glad to hear that you found the wedding ring and that you had an uneventful day today.

And, yes, Cosmo wishes he had an airplane to fly over Leucadia. Maybe someday.

Have a great time at the beach and hug Tyler for me.

Love,

Aunt Sue

Billy,
I just want to let you know how great it was to talk to you tonight. I know it was selfish of me to call you until you answered but it was so good to share a couple of laughs together. I hope it's true what they say about "laughter being the best medicine" I'm sure it took more out of you for that brief conversation so I appreciate the time you took for me bud. I am not much of an email, blogging kind-of-guy but I'm loving this blog to keep up with your success'. I may not say it much but I do know that God performs miracles, Jesus heals the sick and our blessed Mother Mary looks out for you. It doesnt get any better than that in my book.
Take care buddy and be strong!
*go fly that kite 3 spools high*
Love,
Mike
